Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Corporate Finance, by Ross, Westerfield, and Jaffe emphasizes the modern fundamentals of the theory of finance, while providing contemporary examples to make the theory come to life. The authors aim to present corporate finance as the working of a small number of integrated and powerful intuitions, rather than a collection of unrelated topics. They develop the central concepts of modern finance: arbitrage, net present value, efficient markets, agency theory, options, and the trade-off between risk and return, and use them to explain corporate finance with a balance of theory and application. The well-respected author team is known for their clear, accessible presentation of material that makes this text an excellent teaching tool. The ninth edition has been fully updated to reflect the recent financial crisis and is now accompanied by Connect, an exciting new homework management system.

5 out of 5 stars Great book at a great price   February 6, 2010
Stephen A. Cochran (Atlanta, GA)
I bought this book for a business school class and was able to get it at Amazon for about $50 less than at the university bookstore. The online extras are great as well. Lots of downloadable excel spreadsheets. Overall great value.

This book is self explanatory with great examples. The authors Ross, Westerfield, & Jaffe offer an Online Learning Center for this book which has self-Study software, Narrated Student Power Points, Interactive FinSims and much more. These tools are very helpful to the student. I am excited and very pleased with this textbook.

5 out of 5 stars Comprehensive and Very Good.   July 26, 2010
D. DODD (Wylie, TX)
This is a very good book. I actually decided to buy a used copy after I took the original course as part of my MBA curriculum. The book is extensive, so the instructor did jump over certain chapters, but because it is comprehensive, it is a good book for my library. Good expamples and exercises. There is no such thing as the perfect texbook since people learn in different ways and people can want to achieve different things from the same class. If you are a finance major, you may have different needs than that of the accounting or MIS major who is taking this as core requirement. The bottom line is that the book does a good job of balancing the approach.

The book was in amazing condition. It looked as if it were straight off the shelf. It was shipped very fast and arrived in 2 days. All around I am very pleased with the services provided and would buy from this seller again.

Seller was easy to deal with, facilitated return with no problems.
Reason for return: textbook was not needed as I ended up not taking the class.

Thanks.
