| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Corporate Finance, by Ross, Westerfield, and Jaffe emphasizes the modern fundamentals of the theory of finance, while providing contemporary examples to make the theory come to life. The authors aim to present corporate finance as the working of a small number of integrated and powerful intuitions, rather than a collection of unrelated topics. They develop the central concepts of modern finance: arbitrage, net present value, efficient markets, agency theory, options, and the trade-off between risk and return, and use them to explain corporate finance with a balance of theory and application. The well-respected author team is known for their clear, accessible presentation of material that makes this text an excellent teaching tool. The ninth edition has been fully updated to reflect the recent financial crisis and is now accompanied by Connect, an exciting new homework management system.

Great book at a great price February 6, 2010 Stephen A. Cochran (Atlanta, GA) I bought this book for a business school class and was able to get it at Amazon for about $50 less than at the university bookstore. The online extras are great as well. Lots of downloadable excel spreadsheets. Overall great value.
Easy Return process February 28, 2009 Theodore M. Vickers 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
Seller was easy to deal with, facilitated return with no problems.
Reason for return: textbook was not needed as I ended up not taking the class.
Thanks.

Good enough May 6, 2009 mdchachi (USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I needed this for a corporate finance course at Wayne State. The book seemed decent to me. Easy enough to read for a textbook. Yes, it's dry and not a particularly fun read but what do you expect, it's a finance textbook! I learned some important concepts. The material coupled with the professor's lectures and practice problems seemed adequate to me and I got an A in the course.
Good book for basics October 22, 2009 Monisha Charania This is a good beginner's book as it provides the basics you need to introduce yourself to the subject. I needed it for a class but it can serve as a good reference guide as well.
